OUR HISTORY
Founded in 1989 in North Carolina by Michael Mattachione, Mattachione Construction, Inc. began as a family-owned and operated masonry construction company. Over the past 3 plus decades we have grown into a recognized and respected leader in the industry, known for quality craftsmanship, integrity, and reliability. The roots of Mattachione Construction, Inc. extend back to 1946 in Canton, Ohio, where Michael’s father, Sam Mattachione, began his career in masonry.
For more than 60 years, Sam was a master craftsman and dedicated teacher of the trade, mentoring countless individuals who went on to build successful masonry businesses of their own. His deep knowledge, skill, and commitment to excellence continue to shape our company today. His legacy lives on through our people, our work, and the standards we uphold. On October 31, 2024, Mattachione Construction, Inc. proudly became an employee-owned and operated company. This transition reflects our long-standing belief that our people are our greatest asset and ensures that the values, craftsmanship, and legacy upon which the company was built will continue for generations to come.
